SINFONIA FAMILY CHRISTMAS

For Sinfonia’s 22nd Annual Family Christmas Concert, you can expect to Deck the Halls with all the Carols of the Bells and whistles! We will perform music ranging from the Baroque period (Bach, Handel, Corelli, etc.) to music of our time and place. It is always a pleasure to discover music OTHER than the standard Christmas fare; as usual, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, and many other traditions and styles of music will be represented. Yes, of course there will be our ever-popular sing-alongs and seasonal selections, and a few surprises, too. The famous Belgian composer Caesar Franck will have just celebrated his 200th birthday, and we will treat you to exquisite music by the brother and sister combination of Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn! Thanks to Gustav Holst, it will not be a Bleak Mid-Winter at the Centennial! Dress up in your Green Sleeves and bring the family and friends out for a Sleigh-Ride by Mozart, and maybe we can say we Saw Three Ships…
